Westmont's motto, Christus primatum tenens—Christ holds first place—captures the college's commitment to developing deep faith in God. The community gathers three times a week in the name of Jesus Christ to love and learn from Him during chapel.

Athletics
Warrior teams have gained a national reputation for their athletic prowess, academic achievements and commitment to serving others. Westmont has won nine National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics National Championships and 99 Golden State Athletic Conference titles.
